3 Questions

I have heard people argue about different things over the period of my life – I have been involved in a lot of them much to my shame. I say shame because very seldom do the arguments address the three most important questions that we as humans need to answer. In answering the three questions, or at least trying to, we will have to come face to face with truth and reality. I believe these to be the most important philosophical questions in life to answer.

These three questions are not new by any means, but they sometimes get lost when discussing current day events and philosophies. Losing sight of them causes us to come to illogical conclusions. Please note that when discussing and critically thinking about any issue, we must go back to the very start and carry our thinking to the logical end point. Failing to start at the beginning and failing to carry the issue to its logical conclusion will also lead us to wrong beliefs.

Let me say up front, that I in NO WAY profess to have all the answers – I doubt there is anyone alive who does, but we must look at these three questions and try to answer them.

Question 1

How did we (humans) get here?

There are only two logical answers to this question: #1. We simply evolved from nothing or #2. We were created by some supernatural power. My desire here is NOT to convince you of either, but only to ask you to critically think about the logical implications of each. With that said, let’s move on to question 2.

Question 2

Why are we here?

Some would love to jump to this question before logically evaluating question #1. It would be illogical to do so for the answer(s) to question 1 will have direct bearing on the logical conclusions we have in answering question 2.

Question 3

Where are we going? Or to clarify = Is there a personal future for us?

Again, there are only two logical answers: Yes or NO.

If you have not answered these 3 questions, I would love to discuss them with you.
